Bill,

I finally got a chance to cut the helical gear on a test piece and it cut
real nice and rolls great with the gear that it is going to mate with but
the helix angle seems to be about 3 degrees too steep. When I put my large
gear on a flat surface my test gear is 3 degrees from being parallel to the
large gear. What ratio for the feed gears would fix this. I tried doing some
of my own calculations but I don't know how to find what the "C" constant
would be for the index gears that you supplied me. My manual does not have a c
constant for the gears you gave me.
