I have another thing to ask you guys.

The shafts that these gears are mounted on operate at a center distance of 5.040" The center distance for the tooth count of these two gears should actually be 5.083" so these gears have to be negative profile shifted in order for them to run in this transmission. Wouldn't it be better to make the gear set have 60 teeth instead of 61 and then they could have just a slight positive profile shift and this would make them stronger. Am I correct in my thinking? I realize that this would cause the ratio to be slightly different but I think we could live with that.
