Thanks, Ron. What does it mean to cut close to the prime number? do you mean choose an angle close to "0"?
And how do you know the actual angle for the differential setup? Do you have to adjust the angle based on the smaller spur gear OD?

Does the differential formula change if the index is not the same as for a spur gear? The beauty of using the index/feed setup is it doesn't require the prime number in index gear set. Of course, it cuts some angle, not a spur gear.

Has anyone actually done a prime spur gear combining an index/feed setup with a differential gearset?
