Yes, we reduced the depth of cut. The cut started of smoothly and 1/2 way through the cut there was a loud sound at 2 teeth of the hob broke off.
We are using a left hand hob to cut a right had 45 degree gear. Is this incorrect? 'lbmakem' suggests that for angles over 20, the hand of the hob and job should be the same.
