Hi,
We manufacture a 5 MW gearbox with an input speed of 3000rpm and an output speed of 12000rpm. It is a helical gear. We have now excperienced high vibration in the range 3-7kHz and and higher bearingtemperatures than excpected. We have done measurements with indicates out of plane missalignment. AGMA suggest a out of plane tolerance of 17/1000 mm with our senter distance. BUT we still have about 80% contact on the gearwheels. Does anyone have experience with how sensitive helical gears is to the out of plane missalignment?
